All-round reliable touring bikes have long been Ortler’s traditional specialty. After a short break, Ortler is back with a fully equipped long-distance tourer with drop handlebars. Meet the new Grandtourer EXP.

The current Grandtourer XP comes with components that have been well-proven, yet the model is firmly of the moment. At the heart of this bike lies its aluminum-rigged alu frame with fixed fork and enough room for transporting luggage, drinks and more. This chassis rolls on rugged 28" wheels with 42 mm Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tour tyres.

The Grandtourer offers a comfortable, sporty riding position and a variety of grip options via its racing handlebars – meaning riders are in control at all points, even during really long journeys. Hydraulic disc brakes on the front and rear wheels make it easy to control in any weather, season or speed. The built-in Shimano Tiagra 2x10 groupset is not just precise but also strongly recommended by many bike mechanics for its long-lasting reliability. The combination of a wide-stepped cassette and crank with great classical gradation means mountains lose their terror and are swiftly overcome.

A combination of SKS mudguards, Tubus luggage carrier and a Lowrider, its particularly stable rear stand and of course the Axa LED lighting system operated by a hub dynamo make the Ortler Grandtourer EXP a first-class travel companion from the very first kilometre.
