Cipollini MCM Allroad Rival - A fast gravel bike, built for you

Former sprint world champion and company founder Mario Cipollini was only satisfied with the best materials during his time as a professional cyclist, and this attitude applies to his high-end racing bikes today.

The MCM frame is manufactured using the tube-to-tube (T2T) process for the best possible customisability. In contrast to a monocoque frame, which is more or less made from one piece, with T2T the prefabricated carbon tubes are bonded together. This means personalisation is easier as tube lengths, shapes and the angles at which the tubes are placed in relation to each other can be designed with more flexibility.

A gravel bike with racing genes

As befits a gravel bike, the Allroad version of the MCM comes with disc brakes from Sram. Equipped with chunky 40 mm Vittoria tyres, you can conquer most surfaces. However, the bike's geometry is designed for fast, race-oriented riding, not leisurely bikepacking tours – you won't find any pannier mounting points here. The completely internal cable routing ensures a clean design, and the MCM looks more like a signature Cipollini road bike than a gravel bike.

Mario Cipollini invests a great deal of time and passion in research and development work to keep coming up with innovative, high-performance frame designs that are also exceptionally aesthetically and emotionally appealing. His team at the company headquarters in Verona includes the best engineers in the industry.

The brand relies on transparent production chains and Italian craftsmanship: the bikes are developed and produced mainly in Italy, including production still done by hand. The carbon lamination takes place in the Cipollini Bike Centre in Bosnia under the supervision of Italian experts. Cipollini tests the materials together with professional teams, which the brand also partially sponsors.

A perfectly tuned set-up

This version of the MCM Allroad is equipped with the Sram Rival Etap AXS series, which offers a reliable introduction to smooth, electronic shifting. It's wireless, so it fits in with the clean design, and allows a wide gear range and customisability via the Sram AXS app. The 1x12 drivetrain has a 40 tooth chainring at the front and a 10-44 cassette at the back – perfect for ripping down forest trails and speeding up whatever hills you can find.

The MCM Allroad is very race-oriented in terms of its components and geometry. It's designed to be stiff and fast, but it won't shake you to pieces off-road. With carefully placed Kevlar inserts on the forks and rear triangle providing some secret damping, the MCM is more forgiving on the rough stuff than the aggressive geometry would suggest.
