Description

Our first BOB set the standard for all others to come: tough, dependable and ready to roll wherever life moves you. The Yak Trailer carries up to 70 pounds (32 kg) of what you need to ride longer and further. It attaches to most bicycle’s rear wheel hub, creating a low and stable center of gravity with excellent aerodynamics.

  • Attaches quickly and easily to a bicycle’s rear wheel using the BOB Quick Release or BOB Nutz system
  • Low center of gravity keeps the weight off your bicycle frame for improved handling and performance and better aerodynamics than racks and panniers
  • Trailer tracks rear wheel of bicycle, making it easier to navigate narrow roads or single track
  • 70 lb. carrying capacity so you don’t have to leave anything behind
  • Compatible with most full-suspension bicycles and most bicycles that have solid-axle hubs
  • Constructed of 4130 chromoly steel tubing that’s lightweight and long-lasting

BOB YAK One-Wheeled Trailer is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My best friend Feel like touring with the wife, dont want to stress about where to put all the extra gear? Buy a Yak. Multi-month international bike touring, carrying three seasons worth of outdoor equipment? Bring a Yak. Need repairability, in remote areas? Yaks are made of steel. This is by far my favourite piece of touring kit. Ive done months of travel with it. It handles like a dream, providing you weight the front wheel. Once you Yak, you wont go back! If mine were lost, id buy another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of The Line - State of The Art I purchased my YAK 28 Plus 14 years ago and while it's literally still been in the box and unused until recently- I've finally assembled and used it somewhat extensively and couldn't be more impressed - The Quality of Construction - The Design and Engineering Are Excellent, The Ease of Assembly and The Way It Tracks and Rides, Even Fully Loaded is Most Impressive - To Those Who Are Considering Purchasing One - You Will Not Go Wrong - !! Thank You BobGear For A Functional, Road Worthy Piece of Equipment !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has it been almost 20 years? I bought this trailer nearly 20 years ago. I used a portage barrel canoe backpack instead of their dry bag. It was more solid and I was living paycheque too payday back then. The handles clipped perfectly to the rails. I’m looking around at this point for some sort of trailer e-system That has regeneration on the downhill slope and biking assist on the uphill. This trailer is starting to rust but man it has been good to me. So glad to hear this trailer is still selling after so many years. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my BOB even after 25 years I purchased BOB for a 3 week tour, carrying all manner of gear. It has been used on and off over the years. More recently, I carried gear on an 85km Mountain Bike trek (Intermediate Terrain) and again was brilliant. The single wheel and slim design enable it to go almost anywhere!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from London to Stockholm Bought mine somewhere in the Netherlands after my rear rack collapsed. Rode it from there to Stockholm very heavily loaded as I needed water, food, clothing and cat litter through the Swedish forest where no shops for days. My cat rode in the basket on the front...good times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best buy ever I live in British Columbia and have had my trailor 11 years and have toured coast to coast, south to California and many trips inthe Pacific Northwest...likely over 13,000 kilometers total with absolutely no problams...original tire and only one flat. I did recommend this to a friend and he purchased one too I would highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Twenty plus years with my Yak I've had my BOB YAK so long I can't remember when I first got it, but I'm sure it's been over 20 years. I mostly use it for groceries, but have done a short tour, and loaned it to someone who road from San Francisco to San Diego, CA. I never let something like riding a bike keep me from hauling stuff of all sizes, and BOB certainly helps. Last week I picked up 14 1-gallon potted plants and carefully squeezed them into BOB (pots 15 & 16 had to go in a pannier). As others have said, clearly the single wheel makes turning easy (the trailer banks with the bike) and sliding through narrow passages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great investment in bike touring I bought my trailer in the early 1990's. I have used it to tour Europe behind a racing bike, used it mountain biking, touring on a triplet, etc. I have found it to be a fantastic trailer and a great investment. It is still going strong. I came to the site today bc I am encouraging a student who wants to get into bike packing that this is the way to go. A single wheel bike trailer has little impact on the feel of cycling, less than panniers, less than frame bags.
