Der Drahtreifen MICHELIN Stargrip 700x40C ist ein Allwetterreifen für Ganzjahres-Rennradfahrer, Radpendler und sonstige Vielfahrer, die zu jeder Jahreszeit in der Stadt unterwegs sind.
Das "Star Tread"-Reifenprofil ist auch auf rutschiger Fahrbahn - ganz gleich ob feucht, nass, verschneit oder ölig - hervorragend griffig. Das vielteilige Sternmuster gewährleistet zudem durch die Beweglichkeit der einzelnen Stollen eine maximale Bodenaftung.

Traveling in South America
My problem with these tires is that i'm getting paranoid if i can't change them for exactly the same ones, we've ride 5k kms in every condition you can imagine, they're safe, robust and super puncture resistant, i bought them second hand, not even know how many total kms they have. Gods of travelers grant that I can buy new ones in Cusco, for my happiness.

Gravel Grinding & More...
This is the best tire around for Gravel Grinding or for whatever surface you decide to ride on. This tire will last thousands of miles, even on pavement, while keeping it's tread. I have rolled over thorns and many other obstacles w/o a problem. I have logged approximately 3,000+ miles on a rear tire and more on a front, through multiple types of surfaces--pavement, gravel, dirt, sand, grass, snow, ice, etc. and the traction is incredible. When new, these tires (35's or 40's) resemble a razorback. They may be a bit on the heavy side, but they are relentless when it comes to durability and traction. I am a HUGE fan of these tires and pray they Michelin continues to make these tires forever. I wish more people would discover these tires at the local Gravel Grinds! Thanks Michelin for the best multipurpose tire on the market!

First let me say these tires wear wonderfully. If they are rotated every 5000 or so miles, you get every bit of the good out of them. The reason for my lower rating is, I've had 3 sets of these and 2 of the sets hydroplaned. This makes me not trust them when it's raining. I don't think I'll buy the fourth set, because of this.

No longer available -Too bad.
I have over 85,000 miles on a set and just found out the A/S version of the Defender is no longer available yet still on everyones website. The H+T version is more than 10% aditional cost with more than 10% less treadwear life. The H+T does have a higher speed rating than the A/S, but the 118mph speed rating of the original is more than enough for my Prius.

Don’t buy!!!
Guaranteed for 90,000 miles, after 40k they started to get loud, at 50k I had to replace them for cupping. Apparently cupping is not part of their warranty. Very disappointed, buyer beware!!

Excellent durability
My wife and I are very happy with our new car, but extremely pleased with the life of our Michelin tires - we got over 100,000 miles on our set. We highly recommend Michelin and rate them a "10" in our book.
