Zusammengefasst
Der vielseitige und leistungssarke Drahtreifen MICHELIN Protek Cross Max 700x40C / 29x1,60 kann mit seinem "All Terrain"-Profil als Straßen- ebenso wie als Geländereifen eingesetzt werden, und das bei jedem Wetter.
Das 3D-Profildesign übernimmt er vom Protek Cross: unterschiedlich ausgerichtete Kanten gewährleisten die Beweglichkeit der Profilblöcke und sorgen so für optimalen Grip unter allen Bedingungen. Die Pannenschutzschicht ist beim Max-Modell jedoch ganze 5 mm dick, damit der Reifen auch bei regelmäßiger starker Beanspruchung und sportlichem Fahrstil lange hält.

Very good tires
This is the 2nd set I have purchased, the first was for a hybrid bike and they were very reliable tires. The 2nd set was for a road bike that I would like to take on dirty and gravel trails, I just installed them last week and they are fantastic. Easy to install, they seem very strong the ride is good. I was thinking of buying a 2nd mountain/gravel bike but with these I may not need to.

Great hybrid-bike tires
I have been using my Trek Hybrid bicycle with these tires exclusively for two years. I didn't rotate them and now my front tire is still in usable shape and my rear tire is worn to the point of replacement. Only one flat tire in many, many miles; I'm going to buy another two of these tires. They were easy to install and remove.

First let me say these tires wear wonderfully. If they are rotated every 5000 or so miles, you get every bit of the good out of them. The reason for my lower rating is, I've had 3 sets of these and 2 of the sets hydroplaned. This makes me not trust them when it's raining. I don't think I'll buy the fourth set, because of this.

No longer available -Too bad.
I have over 85,000 miles on a set and just found out the A/S version of the Defender is no longer available yet still on everyones website. The H+T version is more than 10% aditional cost with more than 10% less treadwear life. The H+T does have a higher speed rating than the A/S, but the 118mph speed rating of the original is more than enough for my Prius.

Don’t buy!!!
Guaranteed for 90,000 miles, after 40k they started to get loud, at 50k I had to replace them for cupping. Apparently cupping is not part of their warranty. Very disappointed, buyer beware!!

Excellent durability
My wife and I are very happy with our new car, but extremely pleased with the life of our Michelin tires - we got over 100,000 miles on our set. We highly recommend Michelin and rate them a "10" in our book.

mm pour un usage mixte route / chemin de terre (roulant)
