All about ORTLER

You will recognise ORTLER bikes by their elegant lines and detailed finishes. This German brand is a staple of comfort, enjoyment and, most of all, reliability. The brand has developed multiple ranges and several versions of components to focus on diversity. Whether you want an exceptionally comfortable urban bike with sound shock absorption, an electric bike, a classy bike for your commute or a multi-purpose frame that can take on all types of terrain, you’ll have no trouble finding the perfect bike for you.

These bikes bear the names of cities, regions or even master painters. Each model has its own characteristics and its own personality. Yet they all share one thing: each model is extremely cost- effective. And furthermore, Ortler never compromises on product quality. It systematically offers complete sturdy equipment and includes a 6 to 10 year warranty for its frames.

Today, Germany is the world leader for bikes and, on top of that, the country is also the epicentre of expansive Research and Development that relentlessly brings the industry’s innovations to city- dwellers and travellers alike.

The Ranges

Ortler's urban range includes city bikes and Dutch bikes. The range is designed for travel and the latest more transversal range includes electric models.

E-Bikes

If anything in the cycling industry has taken off over the last few years, it’s electric bikes. Yet there are so many options of unequal standing that it is not always easy to see the wood through the trees.

And so, once again, ORTLER has gone for comfort and quality by providing models that are well equipped to support you both in town and when trekking. And the common denominator remains: all bikes are remarkably cost-effective!

The batteries are positioned at the rear, on the frame or even inside the down tube. All have very long life cycles and power motors that provide up to 250 watts of energy. You can choose between more flexible or more responsive behaviour based on the model and according to your needs. Whether you go for a Bosch or Shimano engine unit, you will definitely appreciate how easy the bike is to handle and the integrated consoles are to read.

BOZEN

We could say a lot of things to talk about the ORTLER Bozen Performance: easy to manoeuvre, versatile and powerful does not even sum it up. As the name would have you think, this bike provides a lot of power so you can pedal over hills with unnerving ease. And you can now choose your desired level of assistance by selecting one of the different modes. This bike is also fitted with a Shimano Deore 9-speed drivetrain whose reliability is tried and tested, high performance disc brakes and a large handlebar for excellent control. Comfort has also been central to the design of the bike when it comes to the Suntour suspension fork, the ergonomic handles, the padded saddle and the adjustable stem. And this is but a brief overview of the Bozen's beautiful equipment, making it the ideal candidate for both city rides and trekking.

City bikes

Whether you are male or female, whether you use your bike for your daily commute or just for weekend rides, ORTLER has just what you need.

The German brand has worked its frames around different shapes: the Diamant sloping frames, the Trapeze frames, which are designed for women, or even the Wave models, which are lower so you can mount quickly and avoid tearing your suit trousers.

These reliable and sturdy bikes are characterised by their comfortable upright steering position. Some have classic drivetrains but others use an integrated hub system that requires very little maintenance. All have high quality accessories and a full set of urban equipment so you can ride safely both day and night in good and bad weather.

The Degoya is the perfect ambassador for its category. It is designed around the Diamant frame and is made of aluminium with an elegant mat black finish. It has a Shimano Nexus 7-speed system that integrates with the hub. This safeguards the gears inside a shell while allowing you to change gears with ease and accuracy. There is a full range of urban equipment for your comfort, safety and enjoyment. For example, there is a suspension fork that cancels out the effects of uneven asphalt, an adjustable stem so you can refine your position, a pannier rack that you can fasten your case or shopping to and it even has Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres with anti-puncture protection.

Trekking Bikes

Worn over long distances, beaten by sand and dust, weighed down by bags: these are some of the many constraints your bike experiences over journeys. This is why ORTLER developed a specific range that has greater endurance, is more multi-purpose and more robust to top it off.

Both men's and women’s frames are made of light and resistant aluminium so that it can remain reliable at all times. You can also choose between a rigid fork and a suspension fork, depending on the type of terrain you ride on and your desired level of comfort. ORTLER also has a large range of drivetrains and the price remains as competitive as ever.

Finally, when you travel by bike, starting your journey with peace of mind and without worrying about the aches and pains caused by long hours on the saddle is a must. The German brand really understands this issue and has responded to it by integrating ergonomic accessories that provide high quality support. And the pannier racks are designed to carry even greater loads without compromising on their ever-perfect stability.

MAINAU

With its 36-spoke rims mounted on Schwalbe Silentio II tyres, the ORTLER Mainau is ready for adventure! Its frame, which is under a 10-year warranty, is both robust and light with a beautiful finish. It also has a rigid fork to minimise maintenance and maximise speed. This model has a Shimano 3x8 speed drivetrain that is both reliable and multi-purpose. It also has a pannier rack, a central stand, chain housing, mudguards, a pump and dynamo AXA LED lighting at the hub so you’ll be ready for anything. The adjustable stem allows you to adjust your position as required. When it comes to brakes, the V-brake system is effective and easy to maintain so you can ride safely. And to top it all off, the Mainau is currently the brand's Best-seller!

Dutch bikes

The Dutch bike is a retro city bike variety with a very different pedalling style. It was originally created to limit maintenance requirements as much as possible. Most use a drivetrain system that integrates with the hub and have a braking system with smooth, reliable and intuitive back pedalling. ORTLER has included V-brakes on one or both brakes for extra comfort.

Generally, Dutch bikes are thought to have a low curved frame. However, ORTLER also provides models with a more traditional shape. Those still include the renowned curved handlebar, as well as the mudguards, chain housing and comfortable raised seat that are so typical. A basket will also frequently be integrated at the front so you can store your shopping or everything you need for a picnic.

The ORTLER Monet was named after the famous impressionist painter who spent so much time in The Netherlands. This bike boasts soft lines that communicate its ambition perfectly. Whether in town or in the countryside, you can mount it in no time at all. The bike is perfect for some easy pedalling as you sit comfortably on the thick saddle. The adjustable stem allows you to sit up straight and is suited to all body types. And if you look beyond its appearance, this bike is also very sturdy with remarkable equipment. The Shimano hub with 7 integrated speeds also includes back-pedalling brakes that supplement the Pro-Max V-brakes system. There are reflective and puncture-resistant Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres, an integrated wicker basket and a full dynamo lighting system. Everything has been designed to lighten the load of cyclists.
