Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enormous spaceous Light weight waterproof spaceous bags, I used also the two front bags for my 4 weeks trip in Iceland. I could store all my (camping) equipment and food for four/five days.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The ropes are in the way and make the bag smaller Do not buy these bags online without seeing them in a shop first! They are not at all like the photos. The ropes are tied in a different way, they are too tight and too short, so that they already constrict the bag BEFORE you even put anything in it. And note that they are unyielding ropes, not elastics! And it is impossible to attach the top of the rope the way they do in the photo because the rope is simply too short. All this makes it harder and really annoying to pack and unpack the bags because the ropes constrict the entrance and the bag itself, and gives you less room to pack your things than you would have without the ropes. In all my 25+ years of backpacking and cycling, I have never seen a bag where the "constriction" method already constricts the bag BEFORE you put anything in it, i.e. where constricting is NOT optional! I complained with the shop where I got them but they say it's supposed to be that way, and Vaude says the same and refuse to take them back. They did not even compare their false product photos to the ropes on my bag, which are really different. Their factories just tie the ropes all wrong, or they created this product photo using photoshop or some other program. I ended up cutting the ropes off which really annoys me that you have to do that with an expensive, hardly used product. When I got them there were no reviews online yet, unfortunately. I would not have gotten these bags if I had known how annoying those ropes are in reality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor I have used these for 1 practice day a 4 day trip with a light load (3kg). I have experienced the following: - where the drawstring enters the hook, 1 drawstring end has come out; - the hooks at the bottom, wheel-side of the panniers pop out; and - a hole has worn in 1 pannier. I am really disappointed with this poor quality.
