CYPRESS is RIVA's interpretation of a classic. Features include low profile rims, gumwall tires, an SRD saddle and bar tape kit, and a frame finished in timeless, luxurious Velvet Green.

Cr-Mo 4130
The CYPRESS frameset uses the same geometry as the BASEMENT and is even made from the same material: 4130 Chromoly, an alloy steel also used in the aeronautical and motor racing industries. The frames use double-butted tubes of varying thicknesses. This allows RIVA to select the right thickness for each of the bike’s different tubes, guaranteeing exceptional durability without adding unnecessary weight.

TIG welded, the frame has integrated chain tensioners at the dropouts, making switching from single speed to fixed gear even easier.

Single Speed or Fixed Gear?
CYPRESS has a flip-flop hub for switching quickly and conveniently between fixed gear and single speed operation. In fixed-gear mode, the sprocket has no freewheel, meaning when the back wheel turns, your legs go with. If you want to feel really connected to the bike, this is the way to do it. If you prefer a more relaxed ride where you can coast down hills like on any other bike, simply flip the back wheel over and use the freewheel sprocket.

SRD Brazil saddle and bar tape
CYPRESS comes fitted with a leather saddle and bar tape kit handcrafted in Brazil by SRD exclusively for RIVA. Made from attractive, hand-dyed leather, and free from any chemical solvents, SRD products are durable, look fantastic and are extremely comfortable.
