The modern Geometry is orientated to the pulse of time.Low centre of gravity - comfortable sitting position - stiff rear frame and stretched top tube. The Horst-Link rear triangle reliably absorbs rough shocks and is stiff enough to pedal some distance.
The rear shock, which is by far the heaviest part of the frame, is placed very close to the bottom bracket to keep the center of gravity as low as possible.
