Great bags and great service
Really solid bags - good size, very waterproof, good straps, adjustable clips which are great. Customer service is superb - helping me out when international and needing a fix for the clip.

I have an older Aqua bag and have lost a couple of the reduction inserts. The new version uses a different - and incompatible insert - is it possible to get the older inserts anywhere?

thermo soldering / knitting failed
it was ok to use for daily commute, the waterproofing is awesome. But... it is not as sturdy as it looks when you need it. It failed me last week on a 700 kms cycling trip in Andalusia/Spain. In the middle of trip things started to fall from the pannier... had to throw it away and buy a cheap bag from decathlon... so disappointing right when you need it on long trips.

Bought this for a 4 week bikepacking trip. The glued together parts became loose after a couple of uses.

Practical design but not long lasting
I bought two Aqua Backs about 5-6 years ago. I used them mostly in summer time for bike touring. They are practical and generally well designed. However they started to wear out after 5 years. First the welding around the plastic buckles went off than later the coating started to peel off. By now the are useless. At that price I expected to buy a very high quality and long lasting product. I feel rather disappointed.

Waterproof, but terrible, terrible fixings
I took these bags on a 2200km, 3-week tour through France, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. I don't usually right reviews but this needs to be said.
I'll start with the positive; they're waterproof, the material is thick and durable. They're big and are pretty much all I used to store my things.
However, the fixings scratched the paint away on my pannier and the frame of my new bike. After every day I had to readjust the hooks because they would edge towards each other. The lower hooks would simply come out of their fixings if riding on bumpy terrain. I would find myself wondering why my bike feels wobbly, invariably it would be because something needed adjusting on the panniers.
Of course, I returned them but there's no placing the paintwork on my bike. Highly not recommended for any serious touring.
