Long-lasting quality
I've always been satisfied with the Candy 1 pedals. They last for years, so I've never bothered to spend 2-3 times as much for their other models that are several grams lighter. What's the point? I've also found the platform on these to be more supportive of my foot than traditional SPD mountain pedals. The Crankbrothers cleats also seem a little more recessed in my shoes, so walking is easier without clacking away on the metal cleats.
