Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good summer protection I have upgraded to this from an old style, hard shell armour. This is much more comfortable, to the point that I forgot I was wearing it at times, and doesn't make you look like Robocop. The ventilation is pretty good. But obviously it is still warmer than just wearing a jersey. But I managed a ride on a warm day with some climbing without overheating. This is helped by it being short sleeved, though obviously that reduces the protection for your arms. I haven't crash tested it yet, so can't compare the level of protection.
