The most underrated frame in the world according to magazines and pro riders, the S1 is quite simply the best value in road frames.
Nowadays people are sometimes so blinded by “carbon” that they prefer a mediocre carbon frame over the best aluminum frame that is lighter, stronger, stiffer, more responsive and even more comfortable. Therefore, try before you buy, as we are confident you will join the ranks of S1 owners.

MAIN TECHNOLOGIES - TrueAero shapes: Long-tail airfoils with a 3:1 ratio or better create the lowest drag. Truncation can be useful, for example if flow interacts with another object. Cervélo was the first to use truncation!
- Aero headtube: The narrow section between the bearing reduces the frontal area and thereby the aero drag (which is linearly related to the frontal area). Narrowing this area also improves the headtube's aspect ratio to get closer to a 3:1 airfoil.
- Internal Cable Stops ICS: With ICS, Cervélo was the first company to provide a light, smooth-shifting internal cable system for better aerodynamics. As the cable runs from outside the frame to inside, the housing is stopped so only the bare cable goes inside.
- Ultra-thin seatstays: Our alloy frames have always had the thinnest possible seatposts to increase vertical compliance, improve comfort and reduce weight. Their minimal cross section also creates a small frontal area for reduced drag. Strong, light, comfortable and more aero, un unbeatable combination!
- Smartwall: Smartwall in alloy frames puts more material to the sides of the tubes and removes it from top and bottom. This puts the material the farthest from the neutral axis to best combat side-to-side flex. It also increases vertical compliance as less material is far from the horizontal neutral axis.
